Background: Hepatitis E is associated with poor feto-maternal outcome. Patients acute hepatitis who are pregnant usually require hospital admission and monitoring liver function tests clotting profile. Objective: To evaluate maternal fetal outcome among women have positive serology for IgM. Methods: Data of clinical presentation jaundice during pregnancy were diagnosed as was collected on pre-structured questionnaire after obtaining consent. entered in Statistical Package Social Sciences analysis. Results: Three hundred thirty three had Out these last trimester their pregnancy. The gestational age two (77%) less than 37 weeks at presentation. Six (2%) pregnancies ended up miscarriage, fifty four (16 %) demise womb while seventy (82%) viable fetus. One third live born babies kept NICU. Indications neonatal respiratory distress 57(72%), neonatorum 12(15%), asphyxia 9(12%), one (1%) transient tachypnea. Neonates died first week life 18(23%).The cause death 12 (67%) anoxia remaining 6 (33%) neonates. Most the discharged home however mortality recorded 80(24%) patients, mainly postpartum period 73(91%). Conclusion: Pregnant more complicated course this viral infection adverse implications.
